The band members of HuG, Betty ”Vas” Kallas ja Rob ”Kaiser Von Loopy” Lupie, couldn't be more excited about their very first gig in Finland. ”I'm totally excited to finally visit Finland! We were going to do a show there in 2009, but the club closed down. That was a bummer. We are very honored that Harri and Toni have invited us to headline the infamous Graveyard Party! Also with such other great bands! We promise to make it UBER for all!” Vas says. ”Looking forward also to meeting and playing with Turmion Kätilöt who's music we were introduced to by a promoter in Portugal when we were there last year! This is going to be one insane show!” Kaiser Von Loopy continues. Finnish language isn't always easy even for the Finns but Vas seems to know perfectly well how to say the right things – in Finnish. ”Missä on mun olut (Where is my beer?), Rakastan sinua (I love You), Kippis (Cheers), Vie minut kotiin olen humalassa (Take me home I'm drunk).” Kaiser Von Loopy has some wishes for the gig in Graveyard Party. ”Finlandia vodka shots after the show! Then we're all running naked through Senate Square!” HuG's latest studio album called Zwanzig Zwölf was released in 2008. Vas and Kaiser Von Loopy mention for example Slayer, Rammstein and Laibach as their musical influences. ”As a category, Hanzel und Gretyl is "Ersatz Deutsche Harte"! But really it's a futuristic sonic nightmare! Definitely a warzone! Imagine if Kraftwerk and Slayer were countries involved in nuclear armageddon while space aliens were invading but for some reason it's 1942! That's what we like to sound like!” Kaiser Von Loopy sums up the sound of HuG. It's not a big surprise that HuG have had many interesting moments during the tours. But what those memorable moments actually are? ”One that stands out is when Al Jourgensen (Ministry) stage dived off our stage while we were performing and then got thrown out and beat up by security! That was hilarious! How about the time our tour bus broke down in the Nevada desert where we were stuck for 3 days and lost a week worth of shows..that was Fantastik. And the time we were being chased after by the Russian mob after our show in Saint Petersburg because they thought we broke equipment. But I never tire to see the Kaizer falling down on stage drenched in blood und bier.. that makes me happy”, Vas grins. ”On tour with Cradle of Filth, I walked off the front of the stage into the security pit by accident at least 3 times! Funny but painful! Good thing I wear a helmet! After the Rammstein tour, We took Till Lindemann back to the Bronx where I live, at his request! Going to the corner Bronx bodega with Till from Rammstein with his hair covered in flame retardant gel and his black eye make up still dripping down his face to get beer, Coke (cola) and Jack Daniels, is about as kool a tour story as I can think of!” Kaiser Von Loopy swears.
